This month has been dominated by the release of The Wideness of the World anthology from the Furry Historical Fiction Society.
It was initially available as a small batch release at Midwest FurFest prior to the official launch a week later. On 13 December, we held a launch party where over half of the authors spoke about their stories. I spoke too, despite dialling in from Malaysia, where it was 4am. We were joined by publisher Jaye Coates and editor Alex T. Dragonson, while we ended the 90-minute stream with an engaging Q&A.
I was delighted to hear that The Wideness of the World sold out at MFF and I hope it’s selling well now it has officially been released. This is the first time I have had a story published in an FHFS anthology and I hope people enjoy my tale of 18th century English sodomy. I have already started working on my story for the next volume, which I’m aiming to finish by the end of January. To have a story included alongside some of the best writers in the fandom is still a huge thrill and has given me significant confidence at a time when I’ll admit it has been waning.
In other news, I submitted a story to an LGBTQ+ anthology earlier in the month, while I have been invited to write a story for a future collection inside the furry fandom. This has been my Christmas project and the first draft is currently with my writing group.
On a personal note, I have commissioned some business cards and stickers. I am hoping to present some writing panels at conventions in 2026 and thought it would be a useful thing to have for anyone who may be interested.
I have also set up a Linktree account to consolidate my online presence and to give greater prominence to my writing.
In the meantime, if you like any of my stories, please give the associated anthologies a favourable review. It would really help support furry publishing and my writing in general. Also, with award season looming, it would be fantastic if some of my stories were nominated. More on that in the new year.
Finally, thanks for reading and supporting me over the last 12 months. May I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2026.
