March 2026 Update – Getting Closer to the Edge

Categories:

There’s not too much to report this month.

I’ve been back writing stories again and have made significant progress on a few, including putting the finishing touches on one that should be released next month. I’ve also done the final edits on another story that should be coming out soon and submitted a third story to a conbook.

Aside from this, I have been editing a novel for Fenris Publishing, which I am hoping to finish in the next couple of weeks.

None of my stories made it into the shortlist for the Ursa Major Awards, but the Furry Historical Fiction Society’s ‘The Wideness of the World’ is in the shortlist for General Literary Work. Please vote if you haven’t already – I submitted my votes a few weeks ago.

The Cóyotl Awards have also opened up for nominations, with three of my stories in the reading list. If you are a member of the Furry Writers’ Guild, it would be incredible if you could vote for these. There are loads of really good entries this year, so please vote for your favourites. Nominations close on April 5 and everything I have that’s eligible can be found here.

I am hoping to keep on the same even keel in April, aided by Pascal Farful’s Go Fourth event. This is a writing initiative on Telegram that sees us set goals for the month, with regular calls to discuss how we’re getting along. I did it last year and found it quite motivating, while it’s always interesting to discover what everyone else is up to. Pascal’s advertising this over on Bluesky, so take a look if you’re interested.
