Zombies! Foxes! Another bloody pandemic!

I’m stoked to announce that I have a story published in The Howling Dead, a horror-themed collection that has just been released through Bewere Books.

‘The Dying Day Was Still’ takes place in a world in lockdown, battling a pandemic that turns foxes into zombies.

As the virus searches for new hosts, Bryning is searching for her husband. He had contracted the virus, but was then spirited away from the hospital where he was being treated. Can she find out what happened to him before it’s too late? And why?

This was my first attempt at writing a horror story and it was quite a challenge. Hopefully, I’ve managed to pull it off, although I did lean into some of my own pandemic experiences.

This anthology has been edited by my good friend Vincenzo Pasquarella (Scribbles Chee), who gave me my first break in furry publishing when they published ‘1725’ in Happy Howlidays three years ago. I was honoured to be asked to contribute to this collection and I’m very excited it’s now being released.

Aldous Husky & A. Kita, Adam Woods, Bruno Schafer, Faolan, Keaton Jenkinson, Renard Avec-Histoire, Rob Macwolf, and Sky McKinnon all feature, alongside Vincenzo themselves. All of their stories are fantastic so if you are a fan of furry-themed horror, definitely check it out.

The Howling Dead is available in three formats – just follow the links for full details:
