It has been a rather slow month, as Summer so often is, largely because the weather has been so good. I am always compelled to do things outside when it’s sunny and so it has proven. I’ve also been a little overwhelmed with day-to-day living, so my energy has been lacking.
At the start of the month, I wrote a blog post about rejections, and if I were being honest, my motivation has been low since. I’m hoping it’ll pick up once we push into Autumn, but at least it did improve as the month progressed. I have started one new story and although I’m finding writing difficult, I am persevering. I guess that’s all you can do. SoFurry still being down and the lack of feedback from it probably hasn’t helped. I’m looking forward to its return in due course. Another outlet for writing is always good.
There is one big announcement though – I have a story in the forthcoming fourth volume of the Furry Historical Fictional Society anthology, published by Transcendent Fiction Publishing. We have been teasing snapshots of the front cover over the last couple of days and I’m looking forward to the collection being published. This is the first time I appear in the FHFS anthology and it’s an honour to have a story included alongside so many established and popular furry authors. More details will be teased over the coming weeks so stay tuned.
There’s little else to report, except I’ve enjoyed some fantastic books throughout the month, which I recommend to you here.
