Work “Fur” Hire

On Monday, Edwin@Work released the Work “Fur” Hire anthology, which contains 21 animal-themed short stories based around getting a job. Part entertaining, part educational, the aim of the book is to provide people who are job searching with tips and tricks. This has been published ahead of Edwin’s Job Searching panel at MFF on Saturday – a panel I am looking forward to attending as I will be visiting Chicago for the first time.

I have three stories in this anthology:

1. ‘Away From Home’ details the transfer of star striker Lathem Lea from his childhood club Ashton United to Brindford FC. Can he negotiate a good deal to assuage his doubts about the move?

2. ‘Boxed In’ details the story of Lewth the bat, who has applied for a job at a local wine cellar. However, he is perhaps a little too open about his interests on social media. Will it stop him from getting the role?

3. ‘Scooped Up’ sees Ashley suffering the wrath of her editor at The Herald. Will an old contact offer her a lifeline?

I am really proud of these stories and all three were fun to write. The book itself is fantastically presented and the concept is very unique in the furry fandom.
