‘Amor Ranarum’ Featured on Ghost of Dog

Following on from ‘Votive’ last year, I am delighted to announce I have a new story on Ghost of Dog this year.

‘Amor Ranarum’ is a twist on the Grimm Brothers’ Der Froschkönig (The Frog Prince) fairy tale. Combining the original 1812 story with the more sanitised Disney version, the story sprinkles in some horror as a vengeful Princess returns from the grave looking for retribution against the Prince.

Ever since I visited Hanau, the birthplace of the Grimm Brothers and now the home to a hideous shopping centre, I have been fascinated by German fairy tales. I had been thinking of rewriting one for a furry audience for quite some time and Spooky Month provided the perfect opportunity.

This was a lot of fun to write and I am delighted to feature on The Voice of Dog again. You can find all of my stories on the podcast here while you can listen to Amor Ranarum here.

Thanks go to Rob MacWolf and his dedicated team for featuring another one of my stories. I hope you all enjoy it, and please let me know what you think.
