The winners of both the Ursa Majors and the Cóyotl Awards have been announced over the last few days and sadly Work “Fur” Hire didn’t win either. The competition was very tough though, and it was still great to be nominated. I think Work “Fur” Hire was deservedly in the running and it would have been great to have won, but it wasn’t to be. Thanks to everyone who nominated us and voted for us.

Congratulations to all the winners, there were some great titles among them. It was particularly great to see Utunu and Rob McWolf recognised in the Cóyotls. Meanwhile, if we were to lose to anyone in the Best Anthology category, I’m glad it was the Furry Historical Fiction Society. Their stories are always high quality. I’ve also been inspired to check out a few I previously wasn’t aware of. The awards are a great way for authors to showcase their works so I hope some more sales have been generated as a result.
